After the MRI the previous day we went from our room to the ward waiting to see the consultant and find out the results and what the future held for us and Soph.

The results were the worst, our daughter had devastating brain injury and would not wake up and not recover.

We were (and still are) heartbroken.

Our close family all came to see our beautiful daughter before her ventilator was turned off.

The doctors warned us she was unlikely to take a breath and if she did it would be one or two.

Once our family had visited her we were left to be our little family of 4 alone when Sophs ventilator was turned off.

Our little fighter did more then just take one or two breaths, she kept on breathing.
